Happy Monday everyone!
This week I’m very excited by a new project I’ve stumbled across!
While browsing the internet this week-end, I found out about the Wardrobe Architect 2015 series on the Colette’s blog. And let me tell you, it’s just what I needed…
Last year Sarai, the mastermind behind Colette, wrote a series of post centered around what she called the Wardrobe Architect. Her goal? Designing and building thoughtful a wardrobe that truly reflects who she is. Interesting huh? 🙂
I have to say the idea of being a more mindful consumer is very appealing. In a world where nothing has a real value any more, buying less and sewing more is definitely a personal goal.
So this year, the series continue (YAY!) and lots of sewists, including me, are giving it a go. It’s official, I’m in! 🙂
After a bit of reflexion, here are my goals for this experiment:
As you can see, I’m changing the rules a bit…
Created to help seamstresses organize and plan their projects, it didn’t totally fit my needs. Because I love to sew but I equally love to knit, I had to find a way to incorporate some knitting into this experiment. By doing this, I’m hoping it’ll more accurately match my personal style and taste. That’s why I’ve decided to create a wardrobe containing items sewn and hand knit.
I’m hoping to follow along everyone else and will post my progress and new clothing items here, on the blog.
So who’s in? Are you excited about creating a wardrobe that truly fits your style? I know I am, let’s join the fun! 🙂
